This concert was held in Oldham Parish Church with the Society’s Patron Jeffrey Lawton in the role of Gerontius, Kathleen Wilkinson as the Angel and Matthew Best as Priest and Angel of the Agony. This was Jeffrey Lawton’s first performance as Gerontius and he was very keen to do it – and of course he did it very well.
